For more than two decades, my work has been devoted to exploring the relationship between our inner lives and the spaces we inhabit.
What began with Feng Shui grew into something much larger—a community of teachers, practitioners, designers, healers, and seekers who shared a belief that our homes and environments can support greater harmony, awareness, and well-being.
Through the Conscious Design Institute, Conscious Design Magazine, international conferences, classes, consultations, and collaborations,
I had the privilege of teaching, learning, and sharing this work with people from many different traditions and walks of life.
Conscious Design became more than a name. It became a way of looking at the world.
Today, that chapter is coming to completion—but its wisdom is not disappearing.
It is becoming the foundation for what comes next.
Conscious Design® Institute — Teaching & Community
For more than two decades, the Conscious Design® Institute was an educational community dedicated to creating healthier, more harmonious spaces and lives.
Founded by Renae Jensen, the Institute brought together ancient wisdom and contemporary approaches through teachings in Feng Shui, Sacred Geometry, Space Clearing, Green Design, Color, Environmental Psychology, EmpoweredInterior Design, and other conscious living practices.
Through classes, professional training, certifications, and collaborations with respected teachers from many traditions, the Institute introduced the principles of Conscious Design to homeowners and professionals in design, architecture, real estate, building, landscaping, and related fields.
At its heart was a simple belief: the spaces we create have the power to support and uplift our lives.
Our Teachers — A Community of Wisdom
One of the greatest strengths of the Conscious Design Institute was the remarkable community of teachers, practitioners, and wisdom keepers who shared their knowledge with our students over the years.
Each brought a unique area of expertise—from Feng Shui, Energy Mapping and Space Clearing to Sacred Geometry, personal development, design, Qigong, astrology, and other ancient and contemporary wisdom traditions. Together, they helped create an educational community that encouraged both personal transformation and professional growth.
We honor and thank these gifted teachers for the wisdom, experience, and heart they brought to the Conscious Design Institute and to the many students whose lives they touched.

Conscious Design Magazine — Sharing the Wisdom
For many years, Conscious Design Magazine provided a gathering place for ideas, inspiration, and wisdom centered on Feng Shui, Conscious Design, healthy homes, and intentional living.
Founded by Renae Jensen, the online publication brought together respected teachers, practitioners, and professionals to explore how our homes, workplaces, landscapes, and environments influence our well-being and quality of life.
Through articles on Feng Shui, sustainable and healthy design, ancient wisdom, energy, wellness, and conscious living, the Magazine encouraged readers to look beyond how a space appears—and consider how it feels, supports, and nurtures the people who live within it.
Although Conscious Design Magazine has completed its chapter as a publication, its rich collection of articles, teachings, and resources will continue to be shared and expanded through Align and Receive.
The publication may be part of our legacy, but the wisdom continues.
Conscious Design 2007 Conference
Feng Shui 2004 Conference— Bringing an Ancient Wisdom into a New Era
In March 2004, Renae Jensen and her brother, Lou Pennacchio, brought together teachers, practitioners, designers, architects, authors and students for Feng Shui 2004 Conference & Expo at the Westin in Morristown, New Jersey.
Created at a time when Feng Shui was rapidly gaining recognition in the United States, the conference was envisioned as more than a gathering of practitioners. It was an opportunity to introduce the depth and diversity of Feng Shui to a wider audience and to explore its application to homes, businesses, architecture, interior design, landscape, real estate, education, health, prosperity and everyday life.
International teachers and Feng Shui masters joined professionals and students from throughout the region for lectures, classes, exhibits, field trips and special events. The program reflected something that would become central to Renae's work in the years ahead: bringing together ancient wisdom, contemporary design and the understanding that our surroundings profoundly influence the way we live.
The significance of the event was recognized by the State of New Jersey. Governor James E. McGreevey sent an official letter congratulating the organizers on the successful conference and commending Lou Pennacchio and Renae Jensen for making the event possible.
More than two decades later, Feng Shui 2004 represents an important chapter in Renae's journey—and in the evolution that eventually became the Conscious Design Institute. It helped create a community of teachers and practitioners dedicated to seeing our homes and environments not simply as places we occupy, but as active participants in our well-being.
That exploration continues today. The language has evolved, the work has deepened, and a new chapter has begun through Align and Receive—but the underlying principle remains: when we bring greater awareness and intention to ourselves and the spaces around us, we create the conditions for meaningful change.
Recognized by the State of New Jersey
In March 2004, the Office of the Governor congratulated the Feng Shui 2004 Conference and specifically commended organizers Lou Pennacchio and Renae Jensen for bringing the event to New Jersey.
Legacy Spotlight: Feng Shui Meets Fashion
The First Live Feng Shui Fashion Show — 2004
One of the most innovative events at the Feng Shui 2004 International Conference & Expo was the Feng Shui Fashion Show, conceived and coordinated by Renae Jensen and Deana Schimmenti.
The fashion show brought Feng Shui out of the home and into personal expression, demonstrating how the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water—can be expressed through color, material, texture, shape and style. Clothing became another way to understand the relationship between our personal energy and the choices we make in our environment.
The show also explored the idea that what we wear can intentionally support the energy we want to embody or communicate—from dressing for an important business meeting to understanding how color and style influence presence and perception.
Renae Jensen and Deana Schimmenti presented their Situation Feng Shui™ approach to clothing, while Evana Maggiore and Louise Elerding of Fashion Feng Shui™ offered their interpretation of the Five Elements and how those elemental energies could be reflected through fashion. Evana and Louise also commentated the live show.
The result was a memorable visual expression of a principle that has remained central to Renae's work: Feng Shui extends beyond the arrangement of our surroundings. Color, material, form and personal expression are all part of the energetic environment we create and experience.
The Journey Continues
I don't see these years as something I am leaving behind.They are the roots of everything I am carrying forward.
After my near-death experience in 2023, I began to understand my work—and my own life—differently. The message that continued to come to me was simple:
Align and Receive.
I realized that the next chapter was not about creating another institution. It was about bringing together everything I had learned through Feng Shui, Conscious Design, energy work, ancient wisdom, intuition, and life itself—and sharing it in a more personal way.
The Conscious Design Institute and Conscious Design Magazine have completed their work.
But the teachings continue.
And so does the journey.
