Spirit Animals

Our Spirit Animals are selected individually and in person.  They are sustainably sourced and created from authentic stones such as Onyx.  They are then brought “home” where they get a cleansing bath, followed by a traditional smoking of sage and palo santo.  They are set out one evening under a full moon.  They exhibit individual living life force and are sold to those that feel they can benefit from their totem’s support.  They need little care, except that of being set in a place of respect and are given an offering to show gratitude and an energy exchange.

What is an animal totem?
Traditionally, through time, animal totems or fetishes have served as protection and guidance for Native Americans. Individuals, families and tribes often turned to their totem animal for support, healing and guidance.  Each animal totem brought along their special gifts and energies.

What is a fetish?
Native American fetishes-totems are small carvings believed to be alive with the animal's spirit.  They are used for protection, healing, guidance, and teaching and are treated with respect and honored with offerings.  They serve as a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all life.

What is an offering?
Our Spirit Animal comes with their special offering food.  Most offerings are made of pure, organic, blessed corn meal.  Why?  The Corn Mother legend tells the story of how the Corn Mother sacrificed her life to offer sustenance to the people.  In return ( energy exchange) humans offer cornmeal and other gifts to show respect and gratitude.

Offerings are a way to honor the spirits and the exchange of chi/spirit in our lives. They are made with a sense of humility and create the living “interconnectedness” the living bridge between all living beings.  “I see you.  I honor you.  I thank you.”

Our Cornmeal Offering:

After you bring your spirit animal into your home and place them. Take time to connect and welcome them. Take a small amount of the offering food – cornmeal- and place in front of your totem, below their mouth. This is not for human consumption, please !

You can change the “food” when desired. You will know when it needs to be refreshed. Most commonly it can be every few months.. Find your own time and ritual, but remember that this is a sacred ritual.

Remember, your spirit animal totem is regarded as a living entity with its own spirit.  Enjoy. Receive the gifts, and walk with respect and honor.
To order your Spirit Totem, Contact Renae to have a personal introduction. They are very very limited, and blessed under a full moon.
